Some tech tidbits on white coil pickups:
For those wondering why late production white Rhodes pickups are failing at an astronomical rate - in short the tape used to protect the pickups coil actually eats the pickup coil!  Specifically the tapes adhesive is petrolium based and has an adverse reaction with enamel wiring!  Another similar situation also exists in Hammond Console Organs post 1964 and Later production Moog synths like the Rouge, Taurus, Liberation & Opus which all used petrolium based adhesives or foam which become caustic as it decomposes-  this same material chews circuit board traces, plating, wires etc- quite a headache!

For the enthusists seeking an exact 1:1 look without the fuss we wrap earlier production coils (red or orange) with a whiite pickup tape, provides the same look without the failure rate..
